About TRECSA

TRECSA (Tourism & Outdoor Recreation Student Association)​ is the student association that represents all students in the School of Tourism and Outdoor Recreation at Capilano University.

 

We are a 100% student-led organization whose purpose is to build awareness and provide education about the importance of the tourism industry, both locally and globally. At TRECSA, we aim to create unique opportunities for students to connect with each other, faculty members, and industry professionals. This is done throughout the year during our monthly social events and fundraisers which take students out into the industry and allow them to build professional relationships.

TRECSA is also the creator and host of the annual industry and alumni event, RiSE. This event brings together current students, alumni, faculty, and professionals in the British Columbia tourism industry for a night of networking and awards.
